The Ondo State Governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has accused his predecessor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko for abandoning the seaport project envisioned late Dr. Olusegun Agagu.
Mr. Akeredolu stated this on Monday while speaking at the flag-off of distribution palliatives items donated by a Non-Governmental Organisation, the Coalition Against COVID-19 also known as CA-COVID-19 in Akure, the state capital.
He also alleged that the former governor abandoned the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTEC), Okitipupa, adding that he also left six months of unpaid salaries.
“If the previous government had shown concern, we would have had a seaport. Agagu started it but we had a government that abandoned it. That government abandoned OAUSTEC. Come on Saturday and see the wonderful work we are doing there.” He said
He however assured the completion of the seaport project before the end of his second term if re-elected.
